POPCORN INCLUDED!!!  Enjoy unique, informative films, especially chosen to educate you about the diversity of transgender experiences.  Take advantage of the opportunity to ask questions of an expert in a safe environment, and talk about the issues involved.  Each month has a different focus.  The themes will repeat in 2009, but with different videos, so you can come to all of them, and learn something new each time!

Discussions will be facilitated by Valerie Igl, MFT, who specializes in working with transgender people, and provides trainings to therapists and other professionals on these issues.  Up to 40% of her clients are transgender or intersex, ranging in age from 12 to 65 years old.

Workshops take place from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the 4th Sunday of the month, in a spacious cottage in a tranquil garden setting in El Cerrito, convenient to freeways and BART. 

Fee: $20 each.  Series discounts available: 3 workshops for just $55, or 5 workshops for just $90.  Admission fees are not refundable, but can be shared, and are good for any date within 6 months of purchase, so bring a friend!

Each workshop meets the qualifications for 3 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.  Cost with CEUs $50 each.  Series discounts with CEUs: 3 workshops for just $140, or 5 workshops for just $230.
